Allison Rinek, a colllege student joined the newspaper in summer 2024
As a Marketing Associate intern, Allison assisted the manager with operational and data-entry tasks. Allison participated in outside sales, followed a sales associate to a customer's business, where she learned how to pitch an advertising campaign. At the office, Alison learned to assist customers by greeting them and answering questions. She provided product information on ad sizes and rates. Allison reached out to the customer to generate leads. She would document marketing efforts, among other tasks. Allison used this opportunity to learn the ins and outs of marketing. Allison followed up on the phone or by email. She assisted with managing social media accounts.

Mara Duman is a homeschooled high school student with an interest in journalism.
Mara lives in Wrightwood and spends her time reading, playing guitar, playing piano, and hiking.
Mara participated in writing for the newspaper in the spring of 2024, covering local events.
