The Mountaineer Progress publishes details on people who were residents or former residents of the Tri-Community (Wrightwood, Phelan, Pinon Hills, West Cajon Valley)

We also encourage the use of photos.  Photos will be cropped to a head shot, so they must be of fairly high resolution (at least 200 dpi) if submitted electronically.

Obituaries are edited  only for grammar to conform to newspaper style.

News obituaries must be received 
by 10:30 a.m. Monday for the following Thursday’s edition. 

Paid ad obituaries are $75 for 250 words, with a photo.

After we receive your information we will send back a proof for your final approval

When submitting an obituary, the following order is suggested as a guideline, but all submissions are welcomed:

Tell us about your loved one: Occupation, education, etc
